Susan Davis Myers is a 1979 graduate of Barton and is a native of Hopewell, Virginia. She attended Hopewell High School from 1972-1975 where she lettered in both basketball and tennis for four years.

At Barton she played volleyball and basketball. As a co-captain on the volleyball team for three years she was named Most Valuable Player her junior and senior years and to the NCAIAW All-Tournament Team in her junior and senior years.

Davis is best known for her performance on the basketball team. She was co-captain for four years, making the NCAIAW All-Tournament Team in her sophomore and senior years, she was a member of NCAIAW All-Division Team in her sophomore, junior and senior years and was a member of the All CIAC Women’s Basketball Team her junior and senior years. She scored 1,475 career points and had 1,481 career rebounds. She was named Most Outstanding Female Athlete on campus in 1977-78 and 1978-79. She was named in Who’s Who of American Colleges in 1979 and was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority.

Since college she has taught in school in Prince George County for 13 years where she coached junior high basketball and softball from 1979-1983. She is the past Chairperson for the Junior Board for Thelma Orakin Ballet, on the Patron Committee for Young People's Concert Series, a committee member for Prince George County Walk Against Drugs and a coordinator for American Heart Association jump rope for Heart at North Elementary.
