WILSON GYMNASIUM (Directions)

Wilson Gymnasium is home for more than 100 events held annually on campus, serving Barton's student athletes and sports teams (men's and women's basketball and volleyball), as well as community members.  Recent renovations to Wilson Gymnasium included the construction of a new bio-cushion gymnasium floor, scoreboard, digital display panel and sound system, as well as a new HVAC system and retractable chair-back bleacher seating. These improvements will ensure the Bulldogs' basketball and volleyball facility will rank among the top small college facilities in the Southeast.

     

ELECTRIC SUPPLY COMPANY FIELD AT TRUIST STADIUM (Directions)
Woodard Street NE, Wilson, NC

Electric Supply Company Field at Truist Stadium, home to the Barton football and men's and women's lacrosse teams, was completed in the spring of 2019.  A stadium tower was completed just prior to the 2021 football season.  The field is located directly across the street from Wilson Gymnasium.

NIXON FIELD (Directions)
412 North Kincaid Ave, Wilson, NC

Nixon Field is the home diamond of the Barton baseball program. Named in honor of Dr. William P. Nixon, Jr. - an alumnus of Atlantic Christian College and a trustee of Barton College - and his family, the facility is an award-winning playing surface. Dr. Nixon is the father of four, including Trot Nixon of Boston Red Sox fame. The American Baseball Coaches Association and Turface Athletics presented Nixon Field the 2005 Field Maintenance Award for outstanding efforts in maximizing athletic performance and safety for a baseball facility. Nixon Field receives regular upgrades and features the Scott Davis Field House, numerous bleachers and chair back s eats.

JEFFRIES FIELD (Directions)
412 North Kincaid Ave, Wilson, NC

Jeffries Field is the home park for the Barton softball program. Jeffries Field is named in honor of Dr. Kay Jeffries and her family and is located at the Barton Outdoor Athletics Complex. Dr. Jeffries was the first softball coach in the program's history and a long time faculty member of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Studies.

SOCCER FIELD (Directions)
412 North Kincaid Ave, Wilson, NC

The soccer field is located at the Barton Outdoor Athletics Complex and is home to both Barton men's and women's soccer.  The facility also includes lights allowing for night games. Scott Davis Field House, which is located adjacent to the soccer field, also has locker rooms for teams, along with bathrooms and a concession stand for fans. The Barton soccer field has been the site of numerous intercollegiate conference championship tournaments and the sight of multiple high school tournament championships. The facility has served as a site with local, state and regional youth tournaments in conjunction with Wilson's Gillette Park and the Wilson Youth Soccer Association. The Barton soccer field was the host venue for the 2001 NCAA Division II Regional Championship Game.

SPORTS PERFORMANCE CENTER (Directions)

The Barton Sports Performance Center was opened in September of 2018. It is the strength and conditioning center for all of Barton's student-athletes.

KRIC SWIMMING POOL

The KRIC Swimming Pool has been the home of the Barton Men's and Women's Swimming teams since 2015.

MICHALAK TENNIS COMPLEX (Directions)

The Michalak Tennis Complex is home to both Barton men's and women's tennis.  A renovation plan in 2024 included the reconstruction of the existing 12 tennis courts (the existing courts were razed, and ground was broken for the new courts on February 5, 2024); addressing immediate drainage issues; providing new fencing, nets, and net posts; correcting perimeter drainage challenges; replacing spectators' seating; and adding new LED court lights. In addition, four of the 12 courts are lined for Pickleball

WILSON COUNTRY CLUB

The Wilson Country Club serves as the home golf course for both the Barton men's and women's golf teams. Located only four miles from campus, Wilson Country Club is a practice and playing facility. The course measures 6,851 yards and is a par-72. Wilson Country Club hosts the annual Barton Intercollegiate every March and has hosted two NCAA Regionals, U.S. Open qualifying, Senior U.S. Open and Mid-Amateur events, the 2009 N.C. Women's Amateur and the 2010 N.C. Men's Amateur.  

THE DAVID S. HICKS FAMILY SPORTS OPERATIONS CENTER (Directions)

The David S. Hicks Family Sports Operations Center at Barton underwent a significant renovation from its original use as the 39-year-old Harris Cadillac dealership. Upon entering the facility, there is a large glassed-in conference room, as well as multiple offices for coaching staff. The interior of the building currently includes football and men's and women's lacrosse locker rooms and additional athletic training rooms. There also are two outdoor practice fields adjacent to the building and an indoor turf facility to benefit the entire athletic program. Phase II, to begin in early 2022, will include additional group meeting rooms and offices.
