Andy Borland was a 1963 graduate of Atlantic Christian College and compete in track and field but was known his for accomplishments as both a head coach and athletic director after graduation.
Andy served nearly 35 years as an educator, a four-sport coach and athletics director at Severna Park High School in Severna Park, Md.
As Director of Athletics for nearly 20 years, Andy helped guide Severna Park to 43 state championships including the first indoor track and field title in 1973.
Andy has been inducted into numerous Hall of Fames including the Maryland High School Football Coaches in 1999 and the Severna Park High School in 2003 as part of its inaugural class.
Andy also won the Anne Arundel Sports Hall of Fame’s Bernie Walter Memorial Award in 2022, honoring exemplary service to county athletics, and the John H. Harvil Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018.
A native of Durham, N.C., Andy earned his Bachelor of Science degree in physical education from A.C.C./Barton.
