GREENVILLE, S.C. – Two members of the Barton women's basketball team – senior guard
Lauren Mingo (Clinton, Md.) and sophomore guard
Layne Sleight (Jackson, Mich.) – earned 2025-26 All-Conference Carolinas accolades.
Mingo was named to the all-conference second team while Sleight picked up third-team all-league honors.
Mingo earned all-league honors for the second straight year and was named to the conference all-defensive team.
Mingo currently ranks first on the squad in rebounding (7.4 rpg), assists (111) and steals (87) and second in scoring 10.6 points per game. On the program's career lists, Mingo is ninth in scoring (1,387), seventh in rebounding (660), fifth in assists (367) and second in steals (286).
This year, Sleight leads the team in scoring (13.7 ppg), three-pointers made (67) and free throw percentage (.760).
Barton (19-9) is the No. 2 seed in the Conference Carolinas Championship and will play in the semifinal round on Saturday at 7:30 p.m., at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium in Spartanburg, S.C.
