WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's basketball team (18-9, 14-5) celebrated Senior Day in style with a 78-67 victory over Emmanuel (12-13, 7-12) Saturday afternoon at Wilson Gymnasium in a Conference Carolinas contest.
Barton used a 34-point fourth quarter to rally from a 13-point deficit – 27-14 with just under five minutes remaining in the second stanza – and beat the Lions.
Five players reached double figures for the Bulldogs – including a team-high 16 points from sophomore forward
MaKayla Noble (Salisbury, N.C.) – as Barton shot 65 percent (11-of-17) in the decisive fourth quarter.

Celeste Bailey (Virginia Beach, Va.) added 14 points as the Bulldogs used 13 steals and forced the Lions into 17 turnovers in the triumph.
Emmanuel lost despite the play of Natalee Goff (Lavonia, Ga.) and Naomi Roberts (Cleveland, Ga.). The duo combined for 49 points – 27 from Goff and 22 from Roberts – in the losing effort.
Barton hits the road to take on Francis Marion in the regular season finale on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., in Florence, S.C., in a conference contest while Emmanuel hosts Southern Wesleyan Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
