GREENVILLE, S.C. – Barton College's
Lauren Mingo has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week, league officials announced earlier today.
Mingo, a senior guard from Clinton, Md., averaged 11.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, five assists and four steals in a pair of games last week including an 82-59 conference road victory over UNC Pembroke Tuesday before Thanksgiving on the road.
Mingo, a second-team all-league performer last year, currently ranks 13th all-time on the Bulldogs' scoring list with 1,157 points.
Chowan's Aijah Manning was named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.
Barton hits the road to take on Chowan on Wednesday, December 3, at 5:00 p.m., in a league contest in Murfreesboro, N.C.
