PEMBROKE, N.C. – The Barton football team (2-6, 2-2) hits the road to take on UNC Pembroke (7-2, 4-1) in a Conference Carolinas contest Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m., at Grace P. Johnson Stadium.
The Bulldogs are coming off a 33-7 loss to Shorter on Homecoming while UNC Pembroke beat Chowan, 42-10, last Saturday night in Murfreesboro, N.C.
Barton had a two-game winning streak snapped by the Hawks. The Bulldogs were limited to just 166 yards of total offense while their lone score came on a 36-yard fumble return for a score by junior linebacker

Jackson Parrish (Graham, N.C.), a two-time league offensive player of the week, leads the team in rushing yards (720) and touchdowns (eight) while Jones is the team's top tackler with 93 takedowns in addition to three quarterback sacks.
UNC Pembroke was led by quarterback Tre Robinson (Charlotte, N.C.) with three touchdowns in the Braves' victory over the Hawks. The Braves totaled 497 yards in the triumph.
Robinson is a dynamic threat for the Braves, leading the team in passing yards (1,979), rushing yards (407), touchdown passes (22) and touchdown rushes (seven). UNC Pembroke averages 32.7 points and 421.0 yards of total offense per game this year.
Barton and UNC Pembroke will be meeting for the first time this year. The Braves are headed up by third-year mentor Mark Hill while Barton is coached by
Chip Hester, who has been the squad's mentor since the program was reestablished in 2019.
