Box Score WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's basketball team (5-2, 2-0) remained undefeated in Conference Carolinas play with a 74-64 victory over Limestone (5-2, 1-2) Tuesday evening at Wilson Gymnasium.
Barton sophomore forward Jami Tham-Morrobel (Arlington, Va.) finished with a career-high 26 points on 11-of-17 shooting while junior center Shanika Peterkin (Virginia Beach, Va.) added another double-double – 14 points and 12 rebounds – in the win. Peterkin now has six straight double-doubles.
Limestone suffered the setback despite three players in double figures led by Reagan McCray (Davie, Fla.) with 16 points. The Saints shot just 34 percent (22-of-64) from the floor while the Bulldogs held a 46-33 advantage on the boards in the win.
Limestone held a 61-60 edge with just under four minutes left in the contest when senior guard Summer Baer (Fleming Island, Fla.) hit the game-winning trey and the Bulldogs stayed ahead the rest of the way.
Barton remains at home to take on Emmanuel (Ga.) in a Conference Carolinas game on Thursday, December 12, at 5:30 p.m., while Limestone hosts North Greenville in a league contest Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
