SNOW HILL, N.C. – The Barton men's golf team finished second overall at the 2026 Conference Carolinas Championship, which concluded Tuesday with the third and final round at the Cutter Creek Golf Club.
The Bulldogs, the three-time defending league champion, shot a nine-over 873 on the par-72, 7,280-yard course while Emmanuel captured the team title thanks to a five-over 869 performance.
Barton junior
Winston Knobloch (Winneconne, Wisc.) was the Bulldogs top golfer, taking second overall after carding a 213 (-3) after 54 holes of competition. Mount Olive's Shawn Benson (Morehead City, N.C.) won the league individual championship with a four-under 212.
Barton senior
Ryan Jahr (Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.) and junior
Bryce Garnier (Jersey Shore, Pa.) also earned all-tournament accolades after tying for fifth and seventh overall with totals of 218 (+2) and 219 (+3), respectively.
The Lions earned a berth to the 2026 NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional Championship which takes place from Thursday, May 7, through Saturday, May 9, at the Valdosta Country Club in Valdosta, Ga.
