LEXINGTON, N.C. – Barton sophomore
Shelby Herbert (Charlotte Hall, Md.) finished second overall at the Sapona Women's Golf Intercollegiate which wrapped up Tuesday at the Sapona Country Club.
Herbert carded a 150 (+6) on the par-72, 5,890-yard course while High Point University's Peyton Costabile (Ontario, CANANDA) took home individual honors after shooting one shot better (149, five-under-par).
Barton took eighth overall with a 703 (+127) while West Chester was crowned the team champion thanks to a 60-over 636 performance after 36 holes of competition.
Barton next competes in the Converse Spring Invite on Monday, March 9, and Tuesday, March 10, at the Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, S.C.
