GREENVILLE, N.C. – Barton College's
Ryan Jahr took runner-up accolades at the East Carolina University Intercollegiate which concluded Tuesday at the Brook Valley Country Club.
Jahr, a senior from Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., finished second out of 85 golfers against NCAA Division I competition and earned all-tournament honors.
Jahr shot an even-par 216 on the par-72, 6,875-yard course while UNC Wilmington's Gray Mitchum (Greenville, N.C.) was the top individual thanks to a three-under 213 performance.
UNC Wilmington captured team honors with a four-over 868 total while the Bulldogs tied for eighth overall with a 53-over 917.
Barton next competes The Trojan Open on Monday, March 30, and Tuesday, March 31, at Walnut Creek Country Club in Goldsboro, N.C.
