GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Barton men's golf team took fourth place overall out of 18 schools at the Greenwood Invitational which concluded Tuesday with the third and final round at the Greenwood Country Club.
Barton totaled an 860 (-4) on the par-72, 6,800-yard course while Grand Valley State, the No. 1-ranked team in NCAA Division II, won the 54-hole tournament.
Barton was led by senior
Ryan Jahr (Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.), who tied for fourth overall and earned all-tournament honors after firing an eight-under 208. Grand Valley State's Bryce Wheeler (Richland, Mich.) was the individual medalist thanks to an 11-under 205 performance.
Barton returns to the links on Monday, March 16, and Tuesday, March 17, at the East Carolina Intercollegiate at the Brook Valley Country Club in Greenville, N.C.
