GAINESVILLE, Ga. – The Barton men's golf team opened the Fall 2025 campaign at the fourth annual Mizuno Intercollegiate which concluded with the third and final round Tuesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Club. The University of North Georgia served as the host school.
Barton finished 14th overall with an 898 (+34) on the par-72, 7,166-yard course while No. 16 Lander took team honors with a 10-under 854 performance. The Bearcats won over second-ranked North Georgia by three strokes.
The Bulldogs were led by juniors
Giovanni Bruno (Padova, ITALY) and
Winston Knobloch (Winneconne, Wisc.). Both players tied for 48th overall with an eight-over 224.
Lincoln Memorial's Morgan Cain (Cork, IRELAND) won in a playoff over North Georgia's Colby Bennett (Greensboro, N.C.) to claim the individual title. The duo shot a seven-under 216.
Barton returns to the links on Monday, September 22, and Tuesday, September 23, to compete in the Hurricane Invitational at the Doublegate Country Club in Albany, Ga. Georgia Southwestern is the host institution.
