SALISBURY, N.C. – Barton College's
Chase Waddell has been named to the 2025 NCAA Division II NCBWA All-Southeast Region Baseball Second Team. NCBWA is the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Waddell, a senior catcher from Lucama, N.C., started all 53 games for the Bulldogs this year and finished with a .335 batting average to go along with five home runs and 51 runs batted in (second-best on the team). Waddell also scored 46 runs, totaled 11 doubles and had a .467 slugging percentage.
Waddell was named to the 2025 All-Conference Carolinas Second Team as well and finished his collegiate career as a two-time all-league selection. On the Bulldogs' all-time career lists, Waddell is tied for fifth in walks (85) and eighth in runs batted in (138).
Barton finished the year with a 31-22 overall record and a 19-11 mark in Conference Carolinas play.
