HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The Barton men's golf team finished 14th overall at the 2025 NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional Championship which concluded with the third and final round Saturday at the Mission Inn Golf & Resort.
The Bulldogs finished with an 878 (+14) on the par-72, 7,015-yard course while third-ranked North Georgia claimed the regional title with a 28-under 836, 24 strokes clear of No. 14 Wingate.
North Georgia's Jack Vajda (Canton, Ga.) won in a playoff over Wingate's Brandon Skidmore (Gloucester, ENGLAND), 5-4, to claim regional individual medalist honors. Both players finished at 10-under (206) over 54 holes of competition.
Barton sophomore
Giovanni Bruno (Padova, ITALY) was the top Bulldogs' competitor, finishing in 11th place with a three-under 213.
Joining North Georgia and Wingate in the national championship is West Florida, Columbus State, Lee, Lincoln Memorial and Florida Southern. The 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship takes place from Monday, May 19, through Friday, May 23, at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
