SNOW HILL, N.C. – The Barton women's golf team finished fourth overall at the 2025 Conference Carolinas Championship which concluded Tuesday at the Cutter Creek Golf Club with the third and final round.
The Bulldogs carded a 946 (+82) on the par-72, 5,863-yard course while Erskine took home team honors with a 930 (+66).
Barton was led by sophomore
Terra Schmitt (Wake Forest, N.C.), who earned all-tournament accolades after taking fifth overall with a 10-over 226. Emmanuel's Keely Johnson (McDonough, Ga.) won in a playoff hole over Shorter's Abigail Cheney (Guyton, Ga.). Both players carded an eight-over 224 after 54 holes of competition.
The Flying Fleet earned the automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division II South Regional Championship which takes place on Monday, May 5, through Wednesday 7, at the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Ga.
