GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Barton men's tennis team, ranked No. 44 in NCAA Division II, placed four student-athletes on the 2025 All-Conference Carolinas Teams, league officials announced earlier this afternoon.
Barton freshman
Daniel Lopez (Palma De Mallorca, SPAIN) and junior
Felipe Mioch (Diemen, NETHERLANDS) were named to the all-conference first team while seniors
Johan Holgersson (Bromma, SWEDEN) and
Hannes Tylehed (Stockholm, SWEDEN) garnered second-team all-league accolades.
Lopez is 17-5 overall including a 9-2 mark in league play in singles action and was also named the conference's freshman of the year. Mioch, who plays at first singles, has records of 13-6 and 8-3, respectively, so far this spring.
Holgersson is a four-time All-Conference Carolinas selection (2022-25) who sports an overall record of 20-1 in singles competition including a perfect 11-0 record against league opponents this season. Tylehed, a three-time all-league selection (2023-25), is 14-8 this season with a 9-2 mark versus conference foes playing at mostly No. 3 singles.
In doubles' competition, Lopez and Mioch have combined to go 14-2 overall (7-2 versus conference opponents).
Barton (16-7) is the fifth seed in the Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Championship and will take on eighth-seeded Lees-McRae (11-8) in the First Round later today at 5:30 p.m., at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.
