GREENVILLE, S.C. – Six student-athletes on the Barton women's lacrosse team garnered 2025 All-Conference Carolinas accolades, team officials announced earlier today.
Barton senior defender
Kaya Bartlett (Venice, Fla.) was named to the all-league first team while senior attackers
Kate Matuza (Hampstead, N.C.) and
Avery Woodcock (Wilmington, N.C.) earned second-team all-conference accolades.
Meanwhile, senior attacker
Kloe Martin (Dracut, Mass.), senior midfielder
Tamia Marshall (Wilmington, N.C.) and senior defender
Nikki Waterbury (Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.) were all named to the All-Conference Carolinas Third Team.
Bartlett is a two-time all-league first-team honoree (2024-25) who led the team in draw controls (99) and caused turnovers (28) this spring and ranks second all-time in program history in draw controls (194) and third in caused turnovers (82).
Matuza earned all-conference honors twice as well (2022 and 2025) and finished first on the team this year in goals scored (46) and second in points (58). Matuza is also the school's all-time leader in goals scored (147) and total points (215). Woodcock led the Bulldogs in assists (33) and total points (65) in 2025 and her 79 career assists is No. 2 on the program's all-time list.
Martin made the all-conference team for the third time in her collegiate career (2022, 2023 and 2025) and finished this spring with 38 goals, 13 points, 51 points and 31 draw controls. Martin's career totals include 80 goals, 28 assists and 108 points in addition to 182 draw controls (fourth-best all-time).
Marshall made the all-league third team for the second straight season and her 38 goals tied Martin for the second-best total on the squad. Marshall also compiled 14 assists and 52 total points in 2025 and she crossed the 100-goal mark for her career this spring. Marshall leaves Barton with 106 goals, 34 assists and 140 points in addition to 135 ground balls and 103 draw controls.
Waterbury helped anchor the defense with 33 draw controls, 27 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers. Waterbury, like Marshall, is a two-time all-conference third-team selection.
Barton finished with a 10-7 record this year, a 6-2 mark in conference play and earned a berth to the league championship tournament under second-year
Ciara Burud.
