HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (0-1) fell to Coker (1-2), 13-3, in the Bulldogs' 2026 season opener Thursday afternoon at the Cobras Athletic Complex.
Coker's Mia MacMillan (Fort Mill, S.C.) led all scorers with five goals while Kate Halcro (Calgary, Alberta, CANADA) added four scores as the home team reeled off eight straight goals after spotting the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead just 41 seconds into the contest.

Julia Erickson (Sunderland, Md.) scored twice for the visitors in the losing effort.
The Cobras held advantages in both shots taken (23-20) and ground balls while Olivia Schmidt (Calgary, Alberta, CANADA) earned the victory in goal after stopping nine shots.

Amber DeWalt (Smyrna, Ga.) suffered the loss despite four saves on the afternoon.
Barton hosts Rockhurst next Thursday, February 19, in the home opener at 5:00 p.m., at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.
Coker, meanwhile, hosts Colorado State-Pueblo next Thursday as well starting at 4:00 p.m.
