WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (10-7) fell to Emmanuel (9-7) by a 15-10 score in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Conference Carolinas Championship Tuesday at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.
The Lions, the sixth seed, will now take on second-seeded Mount Olive (9-7) in the semifinals on Friday at the Ray McDonald, Sr., Sports Complex in Mount Olive, N.C. The Bulldogs were the third seed in the tournament.
Emmanuel's Paige Murphy (Calgary, Alberta, CANADA), the nation's second-leading scorer, found the back of the net a game-high six times which gave her 101 goals on the year as the Lions avenged an earlier loss to the Bulldogs. Barton defeated Emmanuel in overtime by a 12-11 score on the road on Saturday, March 8.

Tamia Marshall (Wilmington, N.C.) finished with a team-high four goals while freshman midfielder
Berghan Balparda (Melbourne, Fla.) added three scores as the Bulldogs couldn't hold a 6-3 advantage in the second period.

Avery Woodcock (Wilmington, N.C.) and
Kate Matuza (Hampstead, N.C.) both finished with a goal and an assist and ended the year ranked first and second on the team in total points with 65 and 58, respectively.
In goal, Emmanuel's Emily Dawson (Perth, AUSTRALIA) made nine saves and picked up the win while Barton senior
Savannah Graves (Calvert County, Md.) made seven stops despite the setback.
