LENOIR CITY, Tenn. – The Barton men's golf team finished eighth overall at the Tennessee River Rumble, which wrapped up play with the third and final round on Tuesday at the WindRiver Golf Club.
The Bulldogs carded an 884 (+20) on the par-72, 7,099-yard course while Lincoln Memorial, the fourth-ranked team in the host institution, took home team honors with an 870 (+6) over 54 holes of play. The Railsplitters edged out No. 2 North Georgia by one stroke (871, +7).
Barton was led by junior
Ryan Jahr (Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.), who tied for third overall with a two-under 214. Lincoln Memorial's George Durkan (Much Hadham, ENGLAND) was the individual medalist after carding a 211 (-5) over three rounds of play.
Barton next competes in the Chowan Invitational at the Beechwood Country Club on Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, in Ahoskie, N.C.
