GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Barton men's golf team, ranked No. 44 in NCAA Division II, took 15th overall against mostly NCAA D-I competition at the East Carolina University Intercollegiate which concluded Tuesday with the third and final round at the Brook Valley Country Club.
Barton totaled a 937 (+73) on the par-72, 6,831-yard course while UCF won the tournament with an eight-over 872 after 54 holes of play.
The Bulldogs were led by sophomore
Giovanni Bruno (Padova, ITALY) and senior
Ross Teeter (Johnstown, Ohio), who both tied for 52nd overall with a 233 (+17). East Carolina's Nathan O'Neal (Wilson, N.C.) was the individual medalist thanks to a five-under 211 performance.
Barton next competes in the Tennessee River Rumble on Monday, March 24, and Tuesday, March 25, at WindRiver Golf Club in Harrogate, Tenn.
