MONROE, N.C. – The Barton women's golf team took 14th place overall at the Jerry Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate which concluded with the third and final round Tuesday at the Stonebridge Golf Club.
The Bulldogs finished with a 954 (+90) on the par-72, 6,103-yard course while Wingate, ranked No. 2 in NCAA Division II, defeated top-ranked Anderson by one stroke with an 876 (+12). Wingate served as the host institution.

Shelby Herbert (Charlotte Hall, Md.) was the team's top golfer, finishing in a 38th-place tie after 54 holes of competition with a 233 (+17). Wingate's Amely Bochaton (Evian Les Bains, FRANCE) was the individual medalist thanks to a seven-under 209.
Barton next competes at The Trojan on Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, at the Walnut Creek Country Club in Goldsboro, N.C.
