GREENVILLE, S.C. – Barton College's
Jackson Parrish has been named the Conference Carolinas Football Offensive Player of the Week, league officials announced earlier this afternoon.
Parrish, a sophomore running back from Graham, N.C., rushed for a career-high 218 yards to go along with a 39-yard touchdown run and 8.1 yards per carry in the Bulldogs' 34-20 win over Ferrum last Saturday in Ferrum, Va.
Parrish became the first player in conference history to cross the 200-yard mark on the ground and currently leads the squad in rushing yards (466) and touchdowns (five) this year.
Parrish was a 2024 South Atlantic Conference All-Piedmont Division honoree as well.
UNC Pembroke's Justin Freeman and Taylor Harris was named the Conference Carolinas Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.
The Bulldogs (1-5, 1-1) host Chowan (2-4, 1-1) on Saturday, October 18, at 4:00 p.m., at Truist Stadium and Electric Supply Company Field.
