ALBANY, Ga. – The Barton men's golf team, ranked No. 24 in NCAA Division II, finished 11th overall at the 10th annual Hurricane Invitational which concluded with the third and final round at the Doublegate Country Club. Georgia Southwestern served as the host institution.
The Bulldogs carded an 875 (+11) on the par-72, 7,024-yard course while No. 2 North Georgia won the event with a tournament-record 29-under 835.
Barton was led by junior
Ryan Jahr (Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.), who tied for 29th overall with an ever-par 216. North Georgia's Jack Vajda (Canton, Ga.) won the event thanks to a 10-under 206 performance after 54 holes of play.
Barton wraps up the fall season on Monday, October 21, and Tuesday, October 22, at the Currahee Collegiate Invitational in Toccoa, Ga., at the Currahee Golf Club.
