LOUISBURG, N.C. – The Barton men's cross country team finished runner-up at the Ben Snelling Cancer Classic Friday afternoon at V.E. & Lydia Owens Park. Louisburg College served as the host institution.
The host Hurricanes won the three-team event while Derrick Harris won the 8K event with a time of 28:10 over the 8K course. Barton was led by sophomore
Jacob Oliver (Winchester, Va.), who took third overall in 28.53.
Barton next competes in the 2024 Conference Carolinas Men's Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 26, at Roger Milliken Research Park in Spartanburg, S.C.
