SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Barton College men's cross country team took 11th place Saturday morning at the 2024 Conference Carolinas Championship on the Roger Milliken Research Park.
UNC Pembroke won its third straight league championship in the men's race while North Greenville captured the women's title for the first time in school history.
On the men's side, Barton was led by sophomore
Jacob Oliver (Winchester, Va.). Oliver ran the 8K course in 27:18 to take 43rd overall while Southern Wesleyan's Ronan O'Neill (Pendleton, S.C.) was the individual medalist for the second straight year after crossing the finish line in 24:24.
UNC Pembroke's Moureen Kimaiyo won the women's crown for the second consecutive season as well after running the 6K course in 21:46.
The 2024 NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Cross Country Championships take place at the Roger Milliken Research Park on Saturday, November 9, in Spartanburg, S.C.
