TOCCOA, Ga. – The Barton men's golf team concluded the fall season with a 10th-place finish at the McCoy Wright Currahee Collegiate Invitational with the third and final round at the Currahee Golf Club on Tuesday. Anderson University served as the host institution.
Barton totaled a 909 (+45) on the par-72, 7,382-yard course while USC Beaufort and No. 20 Columbus State both tied for first to share the championship with an 871 (+7) over three rounds of play.
The Bulldogs were led by junior
JoseMaria Gutierrez (Mexico City, MEXICO), who tied for 17th overall after carding a 222 (+6) over 54 holes of competition. Columbus State's Martin Gruendemann (Hamburg, GERMANY) was the individual medalist thanks to a two-under 210.
Barton will open the Spring 2025 campaign on Monday, February 10, and Tuesday, February 11, at the Matlock Collegiate Classic in Lakeland, Fla., at the Lone Palm Golf Club.
