TEMPE, Ariz. – Thirteen members of the Barton College men's tennis team have been named 2023 ITA NCAA Division II Scholar-Athletes.  ITA is the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.  In addition, the Bulldogs were an ITA All-Academic Team for the school year. 
The following Bulldogs earned the scholar-athlete honors this year:  senior

Filip Forsberg (Vallentuna, SWEDEN) and 
Deni Furtado Brlenic (Alvsjo, SWEDEN), sophomore 
Johan Holgersson (Bromma, SWEDEN), freshman 
Baikal Kuszli (Berlin, GERMANY), sophomore 
Wilhelm Karlsson (Djursholm, SWEDEN), senior 
Qijun Li (Guangzhou, CHINA), freshman 
Felipe Mioch (Diemen, NETHERLANDS), senior 
Philip Nordberg (Mariefred, SWEDEN), sophomore 
James Rodriguez (Goldsboro, N.C.), senior 
Frederick Stone (Saint Ives, ENGLAND) and sophomore 
Hannes Tylehed (Stockhol, SWEDEN).
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements: 
	- Have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
 
	- Be listed on the institutional eligibility form
 
 
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:
	- Have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
 
	- All student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
 
	- All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year
