DAVIE, Fla. – The Barton men's golf team ended the season with a 19th-place finish at the 2023 NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional Championship which concluded with the third and final round Saturday at the Grande Oaks Golf Club.
The Bulldogs, ranked No. 23 in NCAA Division II, finished with an 876 (+24) on the par-71, 6,725-yard course while third-ranked West Florida took first overall with a six-under 846 over 54 holes of play.
Barton was led by freshman
Ryan Jahr (Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.), who tied for 16th overall with a one-under 212. Palm Beach Atlantic's Andrew Riley (St. John's, Fla.) won the regional title after firing a nine-under 204.
The 2023 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship takes place from Monday, May 22, through Friday, May 26, at the Avalon Lakes Country Club in Warren, Ohio. Wayne State University is serving as the host institution.
The top six teams at the regional championship earned a berth to the finals: West Florida, No. 2 Barry, No. 6 Nova Southeastern, No. 5 North Georgia, No. 4 Lee and No. 8 Georgia Southwestern.
