GREENVILLE, S.C. – Barton's
Gracelyn Massey and
Makenzie Cyzick both garnered 2023 All-Conference Carolinas Softball accolades. Both Massey and Cyzick were named to the all-league second team.
Massey, a sophomore designated hitter from Princeton, N.C., is batting .344 with a team-tying four home runs and 35 runs batted in so far this spring.
Cyzick, a freshman outfielder from Dayton, Va., leads the team in hits (62) and runs (43) this year to go along with a .403 batting average, four triples, three home runs and 24 runs batted in.
Barton (26-20) won its opening round game of the 2023 Conference Carolinas Championship and will take on top-seeded King (32-20) on Saturday beginning at Noon at the Tyger River Complex in Duncan, S.C. The Bulldogs are the fifth seed in the tournament.
