GREENVILLE, S.C. – Three members of the Barton men's tennis squad were named to the 2022 All-Conference Carolinas Teams:
Kristoffer Staahlbrand,
Diego Agudelo and
Johan Holgersson. The teams were announced earlier today by the league office. Barton is ranked No. 26 in NCAA Division II.
Staahlbrand and Agudelo were named to the second team while Holgersson picked up third-team all-league accolades.
Staahlbrand, a freshman from Oslo, NORWAY, has a 13-6 overall record and a 7-3 mark in league play as the Bulldogs' No. 1 singles' player. Staahlbrand is riding a seven-match winning streak as well.
Agudelo, a senior from Bogota, COLOMBIA, earned all-conference honors for the fourth time in his collegiate career. On the year, Agudelo has a 12-9 mark in singles action (7-3 in league play). Agudelo is the second singles' player for the Bulldogs and has notched 15 wins in doubles' action.
Holgersson, a freshman from Bromma, SWEDEN, sports a 9-1 record against Conference Carolinas foes this season and a 15-3 mark overall in singles action. Holgersson also has 13 victories in doubles' play.
Barton (17-7), the second seed in the 2022 Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Championship, has already advanced to the semifinals of the league tournament and will compete at 9:00 a.m., at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C. The Bulldogs enter the championship on a seven-match winning streak.
