The Lady Bulldogs hit .448 as a unit in the first set with just two errors, defeating Pembroke by 11 points to take an early lead.
After a 25-19 win in the second set, BC was looking for his second straight-set win in a row. However, Pembroke was able to stay alive with a five-point win, ending the third set with three unanswered points.
Pembroke's momentum carried over to the fourth set with an early 5-0 run before the Lady Bulldogs were able to take an 8-7 lead following a kill by sophomore Hayley Marshburn. An 8-2 run for BC extended the lead to an 18-12 advantage as a kill from senior Mariana Kedzia and a Braves' attack error ended the match in Barton's favor.
