BANNER ELK, N.C. - The Barton women's volleyball team (2-8, 0-3) fell to Lees-McRae (2-9, 2-1), 3-1, in a Conference Carolinas contest Saturday afternoon at Wilson Gymnasium.

The Bobcats won over the Bulldogs by scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-22 and 25-18.

Lees-McRae, winners of two consecutive contests, was paced by Karoline Springman (Chadds Ford, Pa.) and Peyton Volk-Tuller (Mooresville, N.C.) with 15 and 13 kills, respectively.

The Bobcats limited the Bulldogs to a .108 hitting percentage and totaled 10 blocks in the victory.

Barton lost despite the play, once again, of junior outside hitter Bailey McIntyre (Mooresville, N.C.).  McIntyre led all players with 21 kills in addition to six digs in the setback.

Barton returns home to face rival Mount Olive on Tuesday evening in league action at Wilson Gymnasium starting at 7:00 p.m. 

Lees-McRae, meanwhile, hosts conference-foe Ferrum Tuesday starting at 6:00 p.m., as well.
