WILSON, N.C.-Barton College will try and pick up its second win of the season against Emmanuel College when the Bulldogs make their first appearance in Franklin Springs, Georgia, on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

Barton College Men's Volleyball
The Bulldogs are coming off their third 5-set win of the season in knocking off host Limestone College on Saturday afternoon to complete a season series sweep of the Saints. Barton's first road win of the year pushed the Bulldogs overall record to 4-8.
Junior libero Michael McMahon continues to remain the national leader with 3.35 digs per set as of the new NCAA Division I-II statistical report (thru games Feb. 16) that was published on Monday. McMahon has reached double-figure digs in eight of 12 matches.
Junior Zach McCalla, who garnered Barton's first ever Conference Carolinas Player of the Week award last week, paces the Bulldogs with 3.33 kills per set and 0.16 aces per set. The freshman duo of Chad Stanback Jr. and Jonathan Novoa-Miralles follow McCalla with 2.49 and 1.81 kills per set, respectively.
Freshman setter Federico Pagliara tallies 8.06 assists per set and 1.76 digs per set. Junior middle blockers Ladislav Lelkes and Tanner Medina each average 0.86 blocks per set.
Barton knocked off Emmanuel, 3-1 (25-23, 25-14, 16-25, 25-22) in a neutral site match at Belmont Abbey on January 21. Stanback (13 kills) and McCalla (8) paced the Bulldogs offensively while Pagliara notched a double-double of 33 assists and 10 digs. McMahon had a match-high 16 digs.
Emmanuel College Men's Volleyball
The Lions, who have a 2-3 overall record, are in the first year of a three-year process to transition from NAIA ranks to NCAA Division II. Conference Carolinas is sponsoring Emmanuel in the process with hopes of becoming full members of the league in a couple years. The Lions have played four future potential league foes this season with a win against Belmont Abbey and losses to Barton, Limestone and King.
Freshman outside hitter Ryck Webb leads EC with 5.42 points per set including a whopping 4.44 kills per set. Webb also adds 0.56 aces per set and 0.61 blocks per set.
The sophomore trio of Alex Barbosa (2.80 kills), Ralph Rey (1.78) and Nikolas Nelson (1.56) add depth to the Lions attack that is hitting .168 on the season. Freshman setter Enrique Larach orchestrates the offense with 10.11 assists per set. Barbosa (2.30 digs and sophomore Meshach McKnight (2.50 digs) highlight Emmanuel's defense. Nelson provides a team-high 1.00 block per set.
Webb had a match-high 20 kills in January's loss to Barton while taking exactly half of the Lions swings in the match (56 of 112). McKnight provided 11 digs and Larach logged 30 assists. Emmanuel did defeat the Bulldogs in a matchup of the two fledgling programs last season, 3-2.
