WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's volleyball team (11-14, 5-7) fell to rival Mount Olive (13-7, 10-2) by a 3-1 score Wednesday evening in a Conference Carolinas contest at Wilson Gymnasium.
The Trojans, winners of five straight matches, prevailed over the Bulldogs by scores of 25-25, 25-17, 17-25 and 25-23.
Mount Olive was led by Brooks Ignosci (San Clemente, Calif.) with 12 kills while Jackson Lahey (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) added 42 assists as the Trojans swept the season series from the Bulldogs.

Jacob Martinez (Tucson, Ariz.) finished with a match-high 19 kills and junior setter
Ian Ford (Columbus, Ohio) dished out 51 assists in the losing effort.
Barton held a 52-47 advantage in total kills but the Bulldogs were hurt by 16 service errors.
Barton remains at home to take on Emmanuel in a league contest on Friday night beginning at 7:00 p.m. Meanwhile, Mount Olive hosts Erskine Friday evening in a conference match starting at 7:00 p.m., as well.
