The Bulldogs are coming off consecutive losses for the first time this season. Barton (5-3 Overall, 1-1 Conf.) dropped from fourth in the region to 10th after suffering a pair of one-goal setbacks to UNC Pembroke and Southern Wesleyan University.

Senior Erik Pajunk leads the Bulldogs in all three offensive categories with five goals, three assists and 13 points. Sophomore Alex David (4G, 1A, 9P) and senior Dante De Luca (4G, 8P) follow closely behind in the scoring column. Junior Kevin Strassburger shares the assists lead with Pajunk and has two goals for seven points.

Freshman Jens Madsen Hordvik (3-1-0, 1.18 GAA, .762 SV%) started BC's first five matches and junior Derek Collins (2-2-0, 1.32 GAA, .688 SV%) has protected the net the last three matches with Hordvik out due to injury.

Barton has lost four matches to Limestone over the past two seasons including being eliminated from the Conference Carolinas Tournament by the Saints in the semifinals in 2013 and the championship game in 2012. BC last defeated LC in 2011 with Pajunk scoring twice in that tilt. The Bulldogs last win in Gaffney, S.C., came in 2004. De Luca and Strassburger had Barton's goals in last season's 3-1 and 2-1 losses versus Limestone.

The Saints, who have been ranked as high as third nationally this season, are coming off their first loss. Limestone (7-1 Overall, 3-0 Conf.) lost 1-0 at Wingate University on Wednesday.

Limestone is 3-0 at home including a pair of wins against then-nationally ranked programs in No. 22 Queens University of Charlotte and No. 16 Flagler College.

The two-time defending Conference Carolinas Tournament champions are scoring 2.38 goals per game while only allowing 1.00 goals against per game (both rank second in the league).

Senior Jorge Mackenna – a three-time all-conference honoree and the league's 2011 Freshman of the Year – leads the Saints with six goals and 12 points. Classmate Sam Orritt, who has garnered all-conference esteem each of the last two seasons, follows with three goals and one assist. Sophomore Vebjoern Olstad paces Limestone with four assists while freshman Harry Cooksley and sophomore William Picoux both have a pair of goals on the campaign.

Junior goalie Tom Godfrey has played every minute of all eight matches in net for the Saints and has a 1.00 goals against average and .667 save percentage. Godfrey was a Third Team All-Conference award winner in 2012.

Orritt and junior Benjamin Morande both have three goals against Barton over the past two years (four games).
