GREENVILLE, S.C. – Barton College's
Kai Thurston has been named the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, league officials announced earlier today.
Thurston, a junior defender from Harleston, ENGLAND, scored three goals total for the week in victories over rival Mount Olive (2-1) and Virginia State (6-2) on Senior Day last Tuesday and Saturday, respectively.
Currently, Thurston leads the squad this year in goals scored with five.
Francis Marion's Ian Milla (Geiselwind, GERMANY) was named the league's defensive player of the week.
Barton (8-7-3), the fifth seed in the 2025 Conference Carolinas Championship, will host 12th-seeded Ferrum (4-8-3) on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., at Truist Stadium and Electric Supply Company Field in the opening round.
