WILSON, N.C.-Barton College fell to Mount Olive College 7-2 in Conference Carolinas men's tennis Tuesday at the Barton Tennis Complex.
The Bulldogs fall to 4-7 overall and 1-3 in Conference Carolinas. The Trojans won their seventh in a row, improving to 10-4 overall and 4-0 in the conference.
Renato Mendes and Max Leppert got Barton on the scoreboard with an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles. Mendes and Leppert improved to 6-4 in doubles play on the season.
Mount Olive won the remaining two doubles matches to take the lead before Leppert won 7-5, 6-4 at No. 2 singles to even the match. But the Trojans won the remaining singles contests to clinch the overall win.
Barton hosts Queens Saturday at 1 p.m. in a Conference Carolinas match.
