Barton men’s and women’s bowling compete at the 2026 Conference Carolinas/Great Midwest Bowling Championships

NEWPORT, Ky. – The Barton College men's and women's bowling teams wrapped up competition at the 2026 Conference Carolinas/Great Midwest Bowling Championships Sunday at the Super Bowl Bellewood.

Belmont Abbey captured both the men's and women's championships.

On the men's side, fifth-seeded Barton defeated both No. 4 Walsh (4-2) and No. 3 Thomas More (4-2) in the elimination round to advance to the semifinals.  The Bulldogs succumbed to second-ranked Emmanuel by a 4-2 score.

Barton junior Braeden Barnes earned all-league honors for his efforts. 

The women's squad took sixth overall for the Bulldogs.  The NCAA selections will be announced at 4:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 25 on NCAA.com.

Four regionals will be competing from April 2-4 with the semifinals and finals taking place on April 10 and 11.
