ELON, N.C. – The Barton men's and women's outdoor track and field teams had a strong performance with several individual winners at the Phoenix Invitational this past Friday at the Jerry and Jeanne Robertson Track and Field Complex.
On the women's side, sophomore
Angel Agyeman (Greensboro, N.C.) won the 100-meter dash (12.44) and was part of the first-place 400-meter relay squad (47.37).
The Bulldog quartet of Agyeman, junior
Erica McClary (Salisbury, N.C.), sophomore
Shaliah Jones (Greenville, N.C.) and senior
Keiarra Tutt (Bayboro, N.C.) crossed the finish first with a time of 47.37
In the men's competition, sophomore
Brandon Waller (Cabot, Ark.) won the 800-meter run with a time of 1:57.28 while sophomore Cameron Tucker (Thomasville, N.C.) and sophomore
Zseven Tookes (Wendell, N.C.) took second place in the 100-meter dash (11.16) and triple jump (42'10"), respectively.

Ni'zjohn Humphrey (Newport News, Va.), junior
Jordan Bobbitt (Rocky Mount, N.C.) and redshirt freshman
Brandon McClary (Salisbury, N.C.) – finished runner-up with a time of 42.26 seconds.
Barton next competes in the Adidas Trojan Challenge on the campus of the University of Mount Olive on Saturday, March 28, in Mount Olive, N.C.
