MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The Barton men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed this past weekend at the 2026 Trojan Relays at the Ray McDonald, Sr., Sports Complex on the campus of the University of Mount Olive.
On the men's side, Barton sophomore
Trey Lamm (Lucama, N.C.) won the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:09.78) and finished second overall in the men's 5,000-meter run (15:57.28).
In addition, the Bulldogs' men's 1,600-meter relay – consisting of junior
Jordan Bobbitt (Rocky Mount, N.C.), freshman
Chace Butler (Elizabethtown, N.C.), sophomore
Brandon Waller (Cabot, Ark.) and freshman
Ja'Qunn Cannon (Raleigh, N.C.) – finished second overall with a time of 3:29.00.
Finally, Barton graduate student
Jacob Oliver (Winchester, Va.) placed fourth overall with a time of 4:21.25 in the men's 1,500-meter run.
In the women's competition, Barton won the 1,600-meter relay with a time of 4:20.04. The quartet included freshman
Juliana Duke (McLeansville, N.C.), sophomore
Angel Agyeman (Greensboro, N.C.), freshman
LaShawn Jones (Hope Mills, N.C.) and senior
Keiarra Tutt (Bayboro, N.C.).
Barton sophomore
Shaliah Jones (Greenville, N.C.) took third in the women's 100-meter dash (12.09) while Tutt took fifth in the women's 200-meter dash (24.64) and fourth in the 400-meter dash (57.24).
The Bulldogs also received a second-place finish in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase (12:48.52) and a fourth-place showing in the women's 1,500-meter run (5:09.84) courtesy of freshman

The Barton outdoor track and field teams next compete at the 2026 Conference Carolinas Championships which takes place at the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium from Thursday, April 23, through Saturday, April 25.
