GREENVILLE, S.C. – Two members of the Barton College women's tennis team – seniors
Tilde Howeler (Stockholm, SWEDEN) and
Silvia Fernandez-Trabadelo (Mataro, SPAIN) – earned 2025 All-Conference Carolinas Second-Team honors.
Howeler, last year's league player of the year, earned all-conference accolades for the fourth consecutive season (2022-25). This year, Howeler has won six singles matches overall including four in conference while competing at No. 1. In addition, Howeler is 12-6 overall – 6-4 against league foes – while playing at first doubles.
Fernandez-Trabadelo was named to the All-Conference Carolinas Second Team for the second consecutive season (2024-25). Playing at No. 2 singles, Fernandez-Trabadelo is 12-7 overall including a 9-1 mark against league competition. Fernandez-Trabadelo is also 12-6 in doubles play this spring.
Barton (10-10) is the third seed in the 2025 Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Championship and will take on the winner of Young Harris and Francis Marion on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m., in the Quarterfinals at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.
