WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's tennis team (6-2) pushed its winning streak to five matches with a 6-1 triumph over West Virginia State (0-6) Sunday afternoon at Michalak Tennis Complex.
The Bulldogs had a trio of players – juniors
Aarni Yellu (Hyderabad, INDIA) and
Claudia Zaratiegui Marquez (Barcelona, SPAIN) and sophomore
Alejandra Carmona Garcia (Fraga, SPAIN) – earned victories at both singles and doubles play.

Leonie Hellum-Lilleengen (Bekkestua, NORWAY) both pushed their winning streaks to five matches in singles competition.
Barton remains at home to take on Emmanuel in a Conference Carolinas contest on Friday, March 20, starting at 2:00 p.m.
West Virginia State, meanwhile, hosts Bluefield State on Wednesday, March 18.
