HARTWELL, Ga. – The Barton College women's golf team finished eighth overall at the Emmanuel Spring Invite which concluded with the second and final round on Tuesday at the Cateechee Golf Club.
The Bulldogs totaled a 647 (+71) on the par-72, 5,810-yard course while Mississippi College won the tournament thanks to a 28-over 604 performance.
Barton was led by sophomore
Terra Schmitt (Wake Forest, N.C.), who tied for sixth overall with a nine-over 153 after two rounds of competition. Mississippi College's Ashlynd Madden (Spanish Fort, Ala.) was the individual medalist after firing a four-over 148.
Barton next competes in the Jerry Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate at the Stonebridge Golf Club in Monroe, N.C., on Monday, March 10, and Tuesday, March 11.
