WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Barton men's and women's indoor track and field teams wrapped up competition at the 2025 Conference Carolinas Championships which concluded Monday evening at the JDL Fast Track.
On the women's side, Mount Olive won its third title in the last four seasons with 197 points while Barton (20 points) took ninth place overall. In the men's competition, Converse (130 points) edged out Mount Olive by three points and ended the Trojans eight-year run as league champion. The Barton men's squad took 11th place (10 points) overall.
Barton was led by junior
Aniya Heckstall (Scotland Neck, N.C.), who earned all-conference honors in both the women's 60-meter dash (7.66 seconds) with a runner-up finish and a third-place finish in the women's 200-meter dash with a time of 24.88 seconds.

Erica McClary (Salisbury, N.C.) and freshman
Evet Jones (Lawrenceville, Ga.) – took fourth overall for Barton (4:08.90).

Jaidan Lee (Charlotte, N.C.) had highest finish on the men's side for the Bulldogs, taking fifth place in the men's 200-meter dash with 22.06 seconds.
Barton track and field opens the outdoor portion of its schedule on Friday, March 7, and Saturday, March 8, at the Seahawk Invitational at the Greene Track and Field Complex in Wilmington, N.C.
