Barton outdoor track and field competes at the 2026 Conference Carolinas Championships

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Barton men's and women's outdoor track and field teams wrapped up competition at the 2026 Conference Carolinas Championships Saturday at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.

The Bulldogs' women's and men's team placed ninth and 11th overall, respectively, while Mount Olive took the home both team championships for the 12th straight season and 14th overall.

Barton had several competitors garnered all-conference honors for their efforts.

Barton sophomore Brandon Waller (Cabot, Ark.) earned all-league accolades thanks to his third-place finish in the men's 800-meter run (1:54.95) as did senior Keiarra Tutt (Bayboro, N.C.) in the women's 400-meter dash.  Tutt took third overall with a time of 55.87 seconds.

In addition, the Bulldogs' women's 400-meter relay squad – consisting of junior Erica McClary (Salisbury, N.C.), Tutt, sophomore Shaliah Jones (Greenville, N.C.) and sophomore Zipporah Scurry (Clinton, S.C.) – also picked up all-conference honors after taking third overall (47.13).
