CARY, N.C. – The Barton men's and women's swimming teams finished fourth and fifth, respectively, at the 2025 Conference Carolinas Championships which concluded with the fourth and final day of competition on Saturday.
On the women's side, UNC Pembroke (719.5 points) won their second straight league title while the Emmanuel men's team (725 points) was crowned conference champion for the fifth consecutive year.
Barton junior
Natan Alexandre (Sao Paulo, BRAZIL) earned a second all-league laurels at the meet with his third-place finish in the men's 200-yard breaststroke (2:05.03). Alexandre won the men's 100-yard breaststroke on Friday.
The Bulldogs' men's team also had a couple of fifth-place finishes: sophomore
Ryan Mcanallen (Saint Augustine, Fla.) in the 200-yard backstroke (1:53.43) and junior
Ethan Robinson (Dacula, Ga.) in the 100-yard freestyle (45.96).
Barton graduate student
Megan Schueller (La Plata, Md.), an all-conference honoree so far in the women's 50-yard freestyle and women's 100-yard breaststroke, took fourth place in the women's 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:26.25.
