LENOIR CITY, Tenn. – The Barton men's golf team, ranked No. 16 in NCAA Division II, tied for seventh overall at the 2024 Tennessee River Rumble which concluded Tuesday with the third and final round at the WindRiver Golf Club.
The Bulldogs shot an 883 (+19) on the par-72, 7,065-yard course while Lincoln Memorial, ranked No. 2 in the nation and the host institution, won the 54-hole tournament with an even-par 864.
Barton was led by junior
Mitchell Soma (New Albany, Ohio), who tied for 17th overall with a plus-three 219. North Georgia's Jack Vajda (Canton, Ga.) won the three-round tournament thanks to a four-under 212.
Barton next competes in The Trojan on Monday, April 8, and Tuesday, April 9, at the Walnut Creek Country Club in Goldsboro, N.C.
