ELON, N.C. – The Barton men's and women's outdoor track and field teams had a pair of first-place finishes at Elon University's Phoenix Invitational which wrapped up competition Saturday at the Jerry and Jeanne Robertson Track and Field Complex.
Barton sophomore
Aniya Heckstall (Scotland Neck, N.C.) won the women's 100-meter dash with a time of 12.03 seconds while taking seventh place in the women's 200-meter dash (25.21).
On the men's side, freshman
Jaidan Lee (Charlotte, N.C.) led the way for the Bulldogs. Lee took first place in the 100-meter dash (10.61) while taking runner-up in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.62.

Jacquez Durham (Clayton, N.C.) and freshman
Jordan Bobbitt (Rocky Mount, N.C.) – took third overall in the men's 400-meter relay with a time of 42.26 seconds for Barton.
Bobbitt also had a pair of top-ten finishes as well individually: seventh in the men's 100-meter dash (10.85) and tenth in the men's 200-meter dash (21.99).
The Bulldogs track and field teams will next compete in the Livingstone Invitational next Saturday, March 30, in Salisbury, N.C., at Alumni Memorial Stadium.
